University of Wisconsin-Madison: Strategic Communications, Philosophy, certificate in leadership.
What relevant experience do you have related to your job?
My most recent experience was working for a local, start-up Wisconsin winery as the event coordinator and marketing specialist. I've also held marketing/communications positions for my alma mater, a school newspaper, and a community bank. From managing Twitter accounts, to editing news reports, to coordinating weddings, I've worked in just a little bit of everything as it relates to marketing.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
If I'm active, I'm happy. You can probably find me running through the streets of Columbus or hanging out (literally) at the rock climbing gym. As a live-in aunt, I also spend most nights playing with my niece. Otherwise, my favorite pastimes include hopping on airplanes, cheering on Wisconsin sports teams, and tuning into great documentaries.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I've gone for a swim in whitewater rapids on purpose but have never fallen out of a raft by accident!
What made you choose RevLocal?
Having never worked in an agency, I knew that I wanted to gain experience working for a mid-sized company. The biggest draw for me in working for RevLocal is that, despite their size, they work closely with (typically) smaller businesses and keep their clients' goals at the forefront of everything they do. I'm proud to be a strategist for a company that embraces having an active client relationship. And hey, it doesn't hurt that we are spearheading the SoLoMo - social, local, and mobile - revolution. This is a group of professionals that is dedicated to constantly adapting and evolving, and I'm humbled to be a part of it.
